This tutorial covers how to create an alias for an existing web server.
If you have a web server, referred as a Virtual Server, such as example.com
, setting up an alias would allow you to have example.net
point to the same website, and share the same email addresses.
From you Web Control Panel (Virtualmin). You can access your web panel from your Halton DC service portal at service.haltondc.net > My Service > Web hosting for example.com

On on your Web Control Panel:

Choose the domain for which you would like to add the Virtual Server Alias. You can do that by selecting the domain name from the drop-down box on the top-left.
1. Click Create Virtual Server.
2. Click Alias of example.com, where example.com
is the domain for which you are setting up the alias.
3. Enter the domain name for the alias in the Domain name field. This will be something like example.net
.
4. Enter a description for the alias in the Description field.
5. Click Create Server.
